Today I want to share a few excellent parenting resources with you. I also want to invite you to check out my Facebook page for daily encouragement that will upgrade your parenting!
Take a look at these resources and see what sparks your interest.
1. Our Family Wizard
This is easily one of the best co-parenting tools available. It is designed to “end the custody battle and create clear communication” through an online portal that parents and professionals use. Divorce is one of the most difficult that any family can go through. It is full of emotion, conflict and challenges. This tool helps divorced or separated parents communicate effectively to make sure the kids get taken care of.
2. Anxiety Solutions for Adults and Teens
Linda Esposito, LCSW is a good friend and colleague. She is a therapist and a prolific blogger with a ton of personality. She calls herself an anxiety saboteur and loves working with surly teenagers. Check out her blog on Psychology Today and especially her article on “Helicopter Parenting Isn’t Killing Millennials, but This Is”
3. MatchPoint GPS
MatchPoint GPS provides vehicle tracking made simple for parents of teenagers. I may have to use this in a few years when my kids start driving! They give you the ability to track your teen’s vehicle from any computer or smartphone. You can get critical alerts and live traffic updates. You can even analyze your teen’s driving activity and behavior.
I think it is pretty amazing. Of course this kind of supervision could seem intrusive to your teen, but that is all in how you use it. 🙂 This resource is definitely worth looking into.
4. Parent Coach for Raising Children In Today’s World
Mercedes Samudio, LCSW is another friend and colleague of mine. She is seriously passionate about helping parents and she is also on the cutting edge in using technology to reach out to parents. She blogs regularly and also does weekly live broadcasts, using an app called Periscope to answer parent questions on the spot. It is very cool! She has excellent insights on the intersection of family life and technology. Check out her article titled: Your Family on Tech.
