I want to give you a quick serving of parenting inspiration today. I don’t know about you, but I always enjoy a good quote that makes me think.
I have been loving the process of creating and offering the “Cracking The Code Of Teenage Boys” program recently and I have come across some really excellent quotes. Here are a few of my favorites.
“When we begin to know ourselves in an open and self-supportive way, we take the first step to encourage our children to know themselves.” – Daniel Siegel
“A family in harmony will prosper in everything.” – Chinese Proverb
“Discipline is helping a child solve a problem. Punishment is making a child suffer for having a problem. To raise problem solvers, focus on solutions not retribution.” – L.R. Knost
“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of being.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
”The best gift you can give your kids is to tend your own garden, cultivating strength, humor & kindness.” – Don McMannis
“Laughter is the closest distance between two people.” – Victor Borge
And finally, a great quote from one of my newsletter subscribers. “Be that amazing person your dog thinks you are.”
